Who operates Hanui
Hanui is operated by MOVA TECH Co.,Ltd. (“Movatech”). Movatech is the organization accountable for any personal information handled through this site. Questions about this policy, or about data we hold, can be sent to the address at the bottom of this page and will be answered by us.
The short version
Hanui is a free skincare-routine matcher. There is no account and no login, we never ask for a photo, and we do not collect personal information that identifies you. We earn a commission if you buy through our Amazon.ca links, at no extra cost to you.
What we collect
Your browser sends us interaction events — which branch (Face or Body) you chose, which quiz answers you selected, and which product links you clicked — and we store them. Each event carries a random identifier created for your visit (kept in your browser's session storage and gone when the tab closes) so we can tell that a series of events belongs to one visit. That identifier is not derived from your identity, your device, or your IP address, and we erase it from stored events after 30 days. We also record a two-letter country code derived from your connection — never the IP address itself — and whether the visitor appears to be a bot. Events carry no name, no account, no email and no advertising identifier, and all of them are deleted after 180 days. We do not sell data and we do not build advertising profiles.
Cookies and tracking
Hanui sets no cookies of its own and uses no advertising or cross-site tracking pixels. One cookie does get set on your device when you use us: the moment you click through to Amazon.ca, Amazon sets its own affiliate tracking cookie so that a purchase made in the next 24 hours can be attributed to us. That cookie is set by Amazon, on Amazon's domain, under Amazon's privacy notice — we never see it and cannot read it. If you would rather not be tracked that way, you can visit Amazon.ca directly instead of using our links.
Amazon affiliate disclosure
Hanui is a participant in the Amazon Associates Program. When you click a product link and make a qualifying purchase on Amazon.ca, we may earn a commission. Prices and availability are shown on Amazon and are not set or stored by us. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
Third parties
When you click a product link you leave Hanui and are subject to Amazon's own privacy policy. The site is hosted by Vercel, which keeps standard server request logs on our behalf. The interaction events described above are stored for us by Supabase; they are processed only to understand how the site is used, and the retention limits above apply to them.
Not medical advice
Recommendations are a skincare guide based on your answers, not medical advice or a diagnosis. If a product irritates your skin, stop using it and consult a professional.
